War: 6-1-18

You....you.....

You have destroyed me.

Unlocked a secret well,

sacred pool in my soul

and used love to fuel

your emotional campaign.

how you wreak havoc on the

battleground that is my heart.

I didn't know I fell for a

general until you waged a

war that I couldn't stop.

I am hopeless and in

an irreversible state of

dependence on your kisses

addicted to the sight of your

face. You ransack my mind

with your games and lay

siege to my nerves with your

fingertips splayed across

my skin; I know you'll

win. My defenses weaken

with each exchanged breath

and I find myself resisting

less and less and less.

But I've gotta be honest,

I didn't try so hard. Between

the careful strikes of compliments

and calculated attacks of

surprise nights-out, I felt myself

falling, falling right into

your traps. I hate that you have

changed me so drastically,

destroyed me so completely.

I am yours.
