war of feelings
My heart in a cage,
with just dark no escape,
ever since apart is how we came,
but no one to blame for the numb and the pain,
from the slums we were laid,
when the sums never paid,
my lungs almost caved
like drums when their played,
stuck in my brain is our trust gone to waste,
Now I have raced the wrongs I have faced,
I bow to the gates that holding my fate,
in the hall we embraced,
before you'd fall as I'de faint,
the rum I would taste I would numb every chase,
we used to run to your place,
the fun we used to make,
now your done It ain't the same,
like a gun without the range,
since apart is how we came,
Now my heart is in a cage.
