War Inside
Ice encases my mind
Numbing emotions
Dulling thoughts
Censoring my reactions
Until I question my own humanity.
But my heart eternally burns
Hindered by my mind
Never extinguished
Raging on in agony
So I remember I, too, am human.
A battlefield of apathetic passion
Lives on forever.
