At war with the ocean

I entered the cold and windy sea

To see what I could see

There was something I had in mind

A treasure I couldn’t find

I was searching for a crab

To fit the habitat that I had

but when I stepped into the sea,

The sea stepped back at me

It threw me toward the shore

So I went back in for more

It hit me hard again

but I refused to let it win

We fought this back and forth

Like an ocean tug of war

In the end I needed air

cause the ocean won’t play fair

So I bowed to my opponent

Who wore sea foam and owned it

It was time to say goodnight

but tomorrow’s a new fight.
