The War of the Trees
With axe in hand and smile on face he comes to cut it down.
Are kingdom in the trees our hearts they all do pound.
His army is immense carrying their steel .
But what they don't understand, is that the trees all feel.
They come in droves two be two thwapping on the wood.
And when the first one fell it was understood,
We fought them all for years, until the skies turned black.
Not from our quasi war but from their giant smokestack.
When the last one left we thought that we had won.
But then our home was desolate and we'd realized what they'd done.
