Warm

All I need is something warm

The warm embrace of my mother after a hard day of work

The warm embrace of my heated blanket, turned all the way up to six during the bitter winter nights

The warm embrace of my cat, wrapping himself around my leg as I walk outside with a cup overflowing with his favorite cat food

The embrace of the hot, sticky, humid air

Wrapping itself around my skin as I walk through the city streets of Manhattan on my 16th birthday

And even on a deserted island, the warm sand engulfing me as I see crabs

Shuffling by, feeling that same

Warm

Embrace
