Warm Fuzzy Coats
early morning eyes coated with late night dreams dust
a mind far from the worries
a mind far from the worlds lust
these minds need not protection from the diffusion of monotony
diffusion of crazy thoughts
thoughts of square jobs and stale donuts and
watered down coffee
that that is not who they are or want to be
their sleepy minds and eyes of
dreams will keep them until He calls them to be
their souls are as light as the clouds all use to use as canvases of the things held within within
minds and heart again and again
and their eyes as bright the star that breaths existence into things
where all they meet
they can’t fall for things too high to reach
they can’t stumble on secrets that hide their doubts beneath
they do not allow those who have fallen
to anchor their wondering minds
they can not succumb to the
crowds notions of the right kind
no.
no these minds are beyond the must and must nots
not because they can not but will not
will not ease into the shoulds the coulds and the woulds
woods are rather actually where they belong
among dirt trees nature and songs
songs of the free
songs of others think that could never ever be
these minds are the clouds in the sky
holding something precious
their eyes are the sun
that paint the atmosphere every day
day in and day out
out of their minds they seem
seem crazy and
and crazy they may be
but the peace surrounding their
seemingly still minds
is just a disguise of the things they have left behind
the complicated mush of what should be
because in all reality
those who don’t understand only wish
to be coated in dreams
do not try to awaken them to your sad cruel reality
reality is what you choose
you think this is breaking news
but you have always known
you have always known this
known this to be true and yet
you let and accept those who
who strip you of your beautiful
coat
please
please
don’t.
