Warming Warning

The ice melts

The river grows

End of humanity?

Or beachfront toes

Thinning air

Circulating above

Dries out all nature

Creates a flightless dove

The turbines spin

To add pain to pleasure

But dams run desolate

Providing a hopeless endeavor

Temperature soars

Conditioning obsolete

Bringing life to its knees

As we admit to self-inflicted defeat
