Warmth
love is warm
warm as the embrace of the rays from the sun that gives life to this earth
warm as the blanket that protects you from the stinging cold air at night
warm as the pair of socks that separate your sensitive feet from the freezing kitchen tiles
warm as the bonfire surrounded by the people that make you forget about your problems
warm as the flushed cheeks you get from the first time you lock eyes with them
warm as the sweaty hands intertwined, one thumb rubbing across the other
warm as the locked lips with closed eyes and slow breathing
but love should never get too hot
hot as the remaining burn on a face, accompanying a hand print
nor should it get too cold
cold as the numbness on your fingertips you feel on a rainy day that seems to never end
love should stay warm
resonating within the body, within the mind, within the soul
