Warrior
I feel an emptiness
like a balloon, floating aimlessly full of transparent thoughts
All I see is dark, All I hear is sad, All I touch is damp
I feel an ache in the depths of my body
A silent deadly killer
non-existent yet constantly there
slowly eating my mind in worries and foul thoughts
and slowly thoughts of death follow me
leaving footprints that never wash away
I wait hoping
yet all hope drains away
and I cling to the last of it
seeing my only happiness wash away
yet death close at bay
I run through a dark maze in a fog with no gate way out
and the entrance closes
and I feel the darkness take over me
draining every last drop of sunshine from me
Yet I survive
for I am and always will be
proudly wearing my scars
as
A warrior
