Warriors
wars.
as many as there've been, they're all the same.
people get saddened when they hear the news that many have been lost, but you know what I think?
it's all total bullshit.
they knew not everyone could've made it; it's impossible.
they all had enough understanding of reality to know that's the exact news that awaited them when the battle was over.
now, the metaphor my restless mind formulated for this was that, life is a war.
your own personal war that you have to fight every single day of your existence.
and unfortunately, just like in real battles, not everybody can come back safe and sound.
sure, it's all easy-breezy at the beginning and you believe you will make it through.
but, when the time comes you've hit rock bottom, and you've been outside in the ever-so-changing and spastic wrath of Mother Nature for weeks, next-to starvation and famine, trying to gather every ounce of strength left in your feeble, little body just to stay alive, you're left with one choice: do I stand up & fight, or lay down to rest?
for some, they can easily battle their inner mind & come out victorious, but, others, can't bear to even glance at theirs; and those are the ones who never make it home.
after all, everybody knows that not all warriors come back from the war.
