WAS IT I THAT


And was it i that cast a spell upon your eyes?

Was it i that made you fall before the night stall?

Was it i that made love look so wicked before your eyes,

And was it i that made Saturday part of a weekend that never lasted a surprise,

Was it i that kissed the heavens goodbye when Christ came seeking for you?

Was it i that met Jesus and gave him no chance to preach to you?

Was it i that salvaged lustfully and less culpable to reach you?

Nothing more to embroid pearly 

But this heart i give to you truly..
