was it love?

many times when i told u id never leave  u

was it love?

days without you seem to be the hardest 

was it love?

so many times i said i missed u

so many times i prayed thanks i have u

was it love?

it was but did you even care

did you think i was lying 

knowing damn well i wasnt 

did you think i would cheat

i gave u my word to be  faithful 

did you think i would break your heart like the others

i told you im never the one to break hearts

but yet still you left still you accused me

still u cried saying do i love you

everytime you left , expecting me to beg

expecting me to run and put a gun to my head

but no im human i shall not die

cause the real pain was in the tears i cried

and still now i ask with hope and pray with faith 

even though you went the path a stray ....... was it love?
