Wash You Away

I tried to wash you away.

1, 2, 3, not stopping until they made me.

My thoughts swirled, but you were still there.

I awoke with tears streaming down my face.

Old demons had come again to dance with the new.

Once again telling me they want to kiss my soft skin and lick my pretty blood.

I’m trying to on to hold onto nothing and believe in something that does not exist.

They are proud of me, but I am lying. Lying without words. I am their puppet.

I am not broken for I am nothing to break.

There is nothing, only you.
