Waste

Proverbs 25:19 

¹⁹ Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble
Is like a bad tooth and a foot out of joint.

Is time wasted when no accomplishments are noticed?

Weeks have passed … about a month,  

no progress yet in sight.

Not in study … not in plans

no vows  fulfilled in time.

Trivial tasks … quickly amassed

seem to take my space.

Even t.v. … what should not be

has sneaked into my place.

Warnings ignored … may-be just bored

investment of daily life.

All at peace ... what is wrong

when laziness does not strife?

Did it win … the battle within

or is my flesh ruling the heart?

Sad to see … what is happening to me

exchanging wisdom for some smarts.

Don't give up … that empty cup

in existence's deadly hold.

Start a new … get a clue

travel fresh into life's new mold.

People smile and after a while

when they see you battling through.

It gives them hope … seeing you afloat

the one … who satan knew?
