Waste Away Another Day
You may think it's easy to walk on by,
You may think it's easy to say you're done;
but every time I think of you,
I fail at forgetting all but one.
Forgetting everything you said to me,
it's impossible to let you be.
The deepest of emotions
release into the air, mixing with the wind and trees,
dwelling on despair.
You may think it's easy for me to walk away,
but really, all I want from you is to tell me I should stay.
If everything were easy, the life we live would have no difficulty,
and even if it did, we would all seem so dead and guilty.
I may not cope with this loss so well,
but I tell you this, "I'm done."
I said it once and I'll say it twice,
life's no fun without the chance of dice.
So with that I'll say I'll walk on by,
with other words, you've worn me dry.
I will not fail, I will not dwell,
and thinking twice, It's done, oh well.
It will be easy to walk away,
I will not waste away another day
and surely won't be here to stay.
