Wasted

When did I get

wasted on you?

Crying for the

overlooked memory

of what used to be.

Unwanted, I became

the rotting apple.

The one you find

half buried in soil,

worms boring little houses,

skin peeling from heat,

once sweet insides

turning sour.

I continue to decompose.

Waiting for you to arrive.
