Wasted Chance

Men at arms.
Our protectors.
Our heroes.
They gave it all up for us,
yet we fight and kill as they do.
We kill our brothers for no reason.
Gang violence, murder, rape.
We are being given a chance.
A chance to live a life that was taken away from another.
Yet we do not seize the day.
Our soldiers fight for a reason...
Us.
We fight for no reason.
The opportunity we are given is being wasted.
And by the looks of it,
So is the effort of the young men that protect our country.
