Wasted moments

Proverbs 14:10

10 The heart knows its own bitterness,
and with its joy no one else can share.

Wasted moments

Pen in hand and paper ready

Will words come that make some sense?

It is quiet just some computers humming

Still the mass within the head is dense

Inspiration not expected

Was not prepared to be tracked to this site

Had other plans to invest this time-slot

But now it appears like my last rite

Waited long for this moment

An opportunity to put my heart on paper

But one came sudden and unexpected

As a celebration of my last vapor

Ink now flows on a white background

Emptiness shows vaguely its sullen face

The time seems right once again

That one’s own heart is vexed and hazed

The clock moves on but never strikes

Seconds and minutes now expand the past

Wasted moments slide into the here-after

To form a background for today’s cast
