Wasting My Time

Dear Ex,

Feelin like i’m just wastin my time

Cuz it feels like it’s all just lies

Almost as if it’s just too good to be true

In the beginning it was all so new

We gained all that trust

An we gained all the love

But if there’s the spark typically it will ignite the fire

Right?

And now

Were like an avalanche

Tumblin down the hill we go

Knocking everything down in our path

Dragging the past into the present

We resent it, yes

you all think i’m slaying these words that i type or write

But really i’m just replaying a memory back to you

What a distraction

To not be able to realize the fight we were in

From the start & start to finish

Such a short time that only felt like years

But love is not supposed to feel like years when you’re together it’s

only supposed to feel like a moment in years

This isn’t a love you wanna have

In fact it’s quite the opposite

And I impose on the right to find the help that I need to get over you

Because anything we shared is always gonna be there

No woman nor man will be able to tear what I had for you apart

All these shattered pieces will remain till the day I die

Unless you come back and save me from my judgment day

So today I will say, that a matter of fact, I will do my best to get over the fact

That you are inevitably gone.
