Wasting Time
I despise wasting time.
From looking at the roof,
to counting ery dime.
I feel like a big goof.
I always need something,
whether a book in hand,
or knowing everything,
that occurs in the land.
When I waste time everyday,
it starts out with nothing,
then my mind thinks on days,
that represent many things.
Sometimes those thoughts are sad,
like the hurting of love,
that can make a man mad.
If it were like a dove,
very sweet and peaceful
then would it even exist, love?
Only painful moments,
will reveal the true love,
a person must search for.
Aside from hurting thoughts,
there are many gleeful ones.
From the time spent with friends,
to times spent with blood ones.
These are important thoughts,
that prevail over all.
I will cherish the smiles,
that these moments showed me.
At the end, to waste time,
I become much pensive,
on all my past events,
that brought me much smiles and tears.
Since I think of the past,
I must question myself,
Am I wasting my time?
