Watching

He walks with a certain swagger confident, impressive, trying to find pleasure in a world that’s impressed negativity and ignorance. Instead of succumbing to his environment, he’s embraced it, evolved it and got it involved in a bigger situation for everyone’s betterment. And there she goes. Those heels click with her walk and texts pressed to her breasts with purpose. Wishing the girls were more like her, she’s insisting her friends work out the time for a good book afterwards. She’s persistant. “Actually,” they say, and they correct me. It’s “swag” not swagger/ His pants are saggin’, he’s not walking confident. Texts are indeed pressed to her, but messages not books. Not persistent, “stubborn.” And that’s what I get for trying to people watch.
