Watching Grass Grow

Someone said once "watching grass grow is a bore"

I set out to test the theory and to study the folklore

It was a nice sunny day and I found a nice spot

My tools were a blanket, a camera and some pot!

I got busy quickly adoring the lawn

I witnessed dirt, insects and sunshine til dawn

At one point I swear that I saw a blade grow

It stood up very straight and strong just to show

All of the naysayers who made fun of his kin

That watching grass grow is more tasteful than sin!

I recorded the moment with a photo and this rhyme

In hopes that I ended the theory for all time

Now get out there all and watch the grass grow

Get comfortable, concentrate and enjoy the show!
