WATER
Water is something that all of us need
it may not seem important
but it's true
If I was stranded on a deserted island
water is on my mind
If I was locked inside a prison cell
water is on my mind
If I was locked inside my car
in phoenix with blazing heat
water is on my mind
Water is important
life is more vital
like trees sing
these harmonies
make my soul silent
the water that burns me
is that refreshing taste
after my lunges swell up
and I can barely breathe
I pick up a glass and chug
the water goes down like a river
I also drink a sip even at the end of my fate
Water is something I didn't create
but will continue to acknowledge
that we all need it
more than ever
like a young man making his way
through college
but never what it means
the water that reaches my lunges
will forever breathe free
