Water

Water

A  priceless resource

Some savor it

Some waste it

Some have great  gratitude for it

Others think they have a limitless supply

Some would do anything for just a drop

Some throw away gallons like dirt

We all have enough to quench everyone’s thirst

But how can you make a difference

How can you get your water to that family in Africa

Thousands of miles away

How can make a change when the world of struggle and pain

is so far away from you?

When you can just walk to that facet or water fountain or faucet

a few steps away

Then go to the city

Take a walk

See who you can find who would  love that drop of water

That person who would do anything for

the gallons of water you throw away

See  your community

The person right next to you may need water

Or any other resource

That you  treat like it has an endless supply

That person who would beg for a few drops of water

That you have the ability to help

That if you help

You can think

What if everyone helped just one person

Millions of tiny scratches

Making a huge dent

In hunger

In poverty

In droughts

In the world’s problems

By just helping one person
