The water from above

The rain from outside falls from the sky,

The people from te ground sart to cry.

Cries are heard from all around,

Everywhere as the rain falls to the ground.

The children ponder and ask, "Where is the sun?"

All they want to do is play and have fun.

The water is heavy and it makes the ground wet.

No human being, outside, is walking their pet.

As some people go to sleep and rest,

There are groups who fold their hands and pray for the best.

There are those who choose to jump in the puddles,

While others from fear start to huddle.

Then comes the thunder and people start to wonder,

How can this day get any better if it just keeps getting wetter?

Whether it is a sunshower or a bleak day,

Nobody on earth is getting their way.

Again, the children ask "Why did the sun go away?"

As everyone can see that the great enormous sky is becoming so gray.

Nobody has anything in their mind to say,

But when the rain finally stops, they will all shout hooray!

Until that moment there is no luck;

And when people see lightning, they all start t duck.

Why, oh why, must it rain?

Why, oh my, it is such a big pain.
