Like Water and The Air We Breathe
he gave me a love like water with an
unexplainable taste to the mental tongue, my mind immune to the bullshit and words that manipulated my mind into thinking they were genuinely passionate. my body a glass, his words, hands, voice and everything else, together a concoction of 2 hydrogens and 1 oxygen, half empty or half full yet and still so inadequate. a love that became something more nauseous than natural. love with clear understanding yet weighed down with saltiness similar to that of seawater. heaven and home to all of the "more fish in the sea" but to me? a sea of hell. a love I couldn't even breathe in.
I was allergic to a love so strong, my heart and mind covered with hives. my body as it craved, lusted, groaned for his epi-pen, moaned as it reached depths unattainable beneath my brown skin. he gave me love like the wind. that I couldn't see but God I felt it. cool breezes and harsh winds against and through my body as my soul left it.
