Watercolors of My Soul

When I look in the mirror The tears enclose the pain that I hold inside my heart. They shine on the canvas I call my face I can usually paint happy colors on it. The watercolors bleed down the page, Because nothing holds back the storm that dwells within my soul. I can cover them yet again, but it will not stay until the puddles are dried, and the flowers bloom. The Lord paints my soul with the prettiest colors. If the sun shines brightly upon it, the beauty of His creation is revealed. The shadows I create and hide behind can cover them- but the light is brighter and breaks through the clouds. The way the blazing sun hits the dew on the vast greens, makes my soul delight and I run to inspect every flower of every kind. As I fall on my back, the Lord catches me once again. He places me on the flowers and His smile shines- bring warmth to my heart. There is no shame or shadows in this place, For now, I do not run from everything- I run only to my Lord.
