Watered Down Personality

When you go to work check your personality at the door

There will be a lot of faking and ass kissing in the store

What you have to go through to make a little money

Forced to put on a composed front, when you are falling apart at the seams

Stop asking me all of these questions, I don't know where everything is

The fact that you need a garden hose, do you think I really give a shit?

But I put on a phony smile, while I am grinding my teeth

The more you people ask me questions, the closer I come to insanity

I run a cash register, not an information desk

Do you really think that in this large store, I can locate an ice chest?

You treat me like an idiot but at the same time expect me to know everything

And I just put on a phony smile, showcasing my Watered Down Personality

If you want something done, stop telling me after the fact

Now I have to call a manager to fix it and that is an enormous pain in the ass

But I have to act like your thoughtlessness was really no big deal

The fact that you people actually function is really unreal

I can't help you find something when I am already on a break

You ask me when I am leaving because you don't care how late you make me stay

But I put on a phony smile, acting like everything is okay

But what I really want to do is burn you at the stake

I put on a phony while at the same time I am pulling out my hair

While about you under my breath, I will start to swear

No matter where I go, you people always seem to find me

And I have to act like I am happy to see you, showcasing my Watered Down Personality

If something goes wrong or doesn't go your way, you will then turn on me

Like a rattlesnake you will strike and you have me in the grips of your fanglike teeth

Your poisonous venom now runs through my veins and now you got me really angry

But I have to act like your outbust was well-deserved showcasing my Watered Down Personality

Here you are yet again trying to hustle me and my company out of money

You try ever trick in the book, trying to confuse, belittle or intimidate me

Still, I let this absolutely disgusting behavior slide, by saying with you I agree

And I will go home disgusted with myself over this Watered Down Personality
