In the Waterhole

I want to jump

I want to soar

I came to dump

What I can't ignore

I want to fly

But he's right there

One look I die

God, it's so unfair

'Cause everyone else seems

To have found their forever first

I'm the only one who dreams

While I'm dying of thirst

In the waterhole.

Others have been hurt

Me, I feel no pain

Others grounded into dirt

While I just watch the drain

My focuss lagging

I think I see forever

But I'm still packing

To brave other weather

'Cause everyone else seems

To have found their forever first

I'm the only one who dreams

While I'm dying of thirst

In the waterhole.

He's right there

I want him

I don't care

He's so dim

I feel him and he's gone

I want the one who's drawn

          In the scratchable sand

Not the one who's the hand

He wants me

I pay no heed

He blessed me

I can't bleed

          For his carress I thirst

          But from him I never

          He's my forever first

Wants to be the first forever

But everyone else seems

To have found their forever first

I'm the only one who dreams

While I'm dying of thirst

In the waterhole.
