In the waters
The year keep passing, the people do to
I'm another year older and in the back in the pew
I look up to God wondering if it'll be the time
So I go in the water and ask if its a crime
Because I question my worthiness to be part of the kingdom
I wonder if I feel the love or if it's just an imitation
The pastor puts me under the water and I finally feel the peace
This is what it finally feels like to not be stuck in a cease..
fire within my self the voices finally stopped
He has saved me once again
Thank you Jesus! I feel completed!

Blends personal baptism experience with spiritual questioning; mostly concrete/autobiographical.
Multiple ideas densely packed: aging, doubt, worthiness, baptism, redemption, peace.
Predominantly positive resolution; ends with gratitude and completion despite initial doubt.
Builds intensity from questioning to climactic baptism moment; exclamation marks add momentum.
Approximately 11 lines; falls in 7-15 line range.
Some imagery (water, voices stopping) but mostly direct/declarative language with minimal ornamentation.
Pure lyric internal voice; introspective first-person reflection without narrative or dramatic distance.
