The Waters of Loss

We have waged war Our rivers run red Your mission accomplished And countless are dead Where is the love? All I see is hate Red waters overflow Has this become our fate? Can’t it all just end? As tears do salt the water Men do fight with rage As the fires of hell grow hotter There is such benefit To hold hands as brothers Than to clash there in battle To the sounds of mourning mothers We all fear our death And loses from our past Why can’t we just stop Can this war be our last? The flood gates now burst As the crimson tides wave The soldiers stand silent As they dig their own graves Do not seek for war Because it will find you It desires our blood And asks not from who Break through dark bonds Of your Envy and Rage Make right with your brothers Tear out the last page If we could all just stop Together as one The homes with their men The armies claimed none The gates now repaired No innocent blood spilt The swords now destroyed To their blood covered hilts The waters run crystal Now lacking in fear Forgave not Forgotten Our rivers run clear Let your sword slip Let your battles go Show God forgave you Give up for all to know
