Wave

You're on the other side of the world

You see the waves

But those aren't my waves anymore

We used to sit together

The waves falling around us

I still felt safe

Now

I think of you

Our waves crashing

I cry

Our Waves no longer in sync

Wave

Wave

Wave

I wave goodbye as they come

I wave hello as they leave

Help!

I'm drowning

I've never been more free

Waves

I watch as they take

I watch as the give

they take more than they give

The sunshine in my face

I see complete darkness

Jump in the water

I'm going down

I think I'm going up

A flash of light

A breath of fresh air

Waves

So subtle

So strong

Not waves at all, thoughts

Wave

Wave

Wave

Wave, as the life you knew changes
