Wavering Tides

You are restless.

Your eyes are overcast and stormy

They reflect the tempest within.

The tide comes in and goes out, comes in and goes out...covering the same old ground. You throw youself upon the rocks, breaking bones on their teeth, and drag yourself over cracked sand-dollars and vacant seashells.

You're used to the pain.

You are like an ocean.

Your labored sighs heavy and hollow are drowned by thundering waves.

You stare into my depths looking for some reflection of who you are...

You hold a thousand quetions in your eyes but you are frightened that the only answers you find,

                                                                         will be

silenced.

Your deepest thoughts are sent through crashing waters.

You've been polluted.
