Waves

the waves are receding
their mesmerizing blues
reflecting the amber sun
as it hides behind the
clouds passing by
as we walk further
down the cool sands,
the crisp air gets thicker
and warmer with every step,
the sunlight glimmers less
the further we go along
and the clouds begin
to close their shades
and our eternity begins
to slowly, slowly fade to a
dull, unrealized, shade of black.
