Waves

As I look at the waves

I see then sparkle as the sun sets.

I see the water filled tide pools

filled with a family of tiny crabs.

I am only there a couple days a year

but I love it as if I lived there.

Up a hill and on the grass

I look at the ocean

To see the setting sun.

This is one thing I wish I could capture,

a ray of golden light.

Just look at the waves

see them dance.
