Waves

Location

It’s forever been a struggle to meet in the middle,

The waves want to overtake the sand,

But the sand wants to hold their own

Constantly battling to have control

A never ending battle, day and day again

On some days, the tide gives up,

Simply letting the sand win because the tide is too tired to fight

But on others, the sand stands no chance against the wave’s fury

Harsh and unforgiving, the tide will do anything to win,

But only when they have to will to fight,

Those days are harder and harder to find now

Otherwise, they will let the sand take every battle

Because the tide simply sees no point in fighting a losing battle,

Lately, the tide has changed their views

And turned the losing battle into a winning one,

And finally learned how to overtake the sand with a simple motion.
