Wax Dolls

Wax Dolls
Why don't you reply? You just sit there and stare
with your glossy eyes, and your perfectly combed hair

Since when have we been this distant? I guess it was the day since
You got bit with the venom. You never gave me a hint..

I prayed and I prayed, but what good is that?
I kneeled there every night. No one ever talked back.

So now you lay, in your suit of black
Eyes closed now. Perfectly sad.

Iknow you didn't think, that it affected me
however life isn't that easy. You should have come clean

So now you lay, like a wax doll instead
hands at the side, that old gray hat on your head

I can listen to music, to ease the pain
I can write down my thoughts, it still doesn't go away

They close your box, and carry you away
I sit here and cry. I wish you could stay

But what good is a wax doll anyways? That doesn't talk back
just stares and doesn't listen. I guess you always did that.
