The way I love you

I love you the way the tree loves its roots The way the tree loves its leaves. I love you the way people love oxygen as though, existing, it were the only thing. I love you the way the fish loves the ocean The way the school enjoys having the gills for the separation of oxygen from hydrogen. I love you the way the sun proudly loves to shine And the way the stars and the moon never hate to shine. I love you the way a man loves to be called a man And a woman proudly calls herself a real woman. I love you as long as the sun continues to shine in the day And as long as the moon shines when it's not day. I love you endlessly And every so often I feel like I love you carelessly.
