The Way One Loves

Love comes in a form of endearment,

Should come from the heart and mean the world.

Defined as the attraction based on sexual desire,

But is to mean so much more.

Because I love you is often meant in a way to defend an action.

It should be used in a fashion of why one did something for the other person,

Not rude or harmful but rather special and meaningful.

Resulting in the difference between a healthy and unhealthy relationship,

The difference between tearing one down or building one up.

Butterflies building up in one's stomach rather than bruises growing.

Kisses rather than fists.

Tears of joy and happiness rather than those of sadness and depare.

Loving life with the one you love rather than terrified of the upcoming moments.

Everyone longs for love, and love makes you long for it to never end.

No one longs for the bruises hiden with clothes or makeup,

The fists clenched in a threat,

The emotional turmoil,

The nights ending with crying and fear.

Rather they long for the soft kisses,

The emotional stability,

The loving touches,

The nights ending with smiles and giggles.

Life is a ride, love should not be the glitch within it.
