Way Out

Empowered to act
with time on my back
deep down in the trenches
which nobody mentions

Root causes revealed
that were concealed
ample time to study
why life's so muddy

The fix on the mend
the pandemic won't end
not anytime soon
so much to consume

Hope that we get thru this
what's not of our choosing
oh so many we're loosing
to this Corona regime
