WE!
Stomped Jumped, kicked beat
We suffered
Fighting for what we believed in
We suffered
Not being recognized by our hearts but by our skin
We still suffered
Calling grown men BOY
Babies TAR BABY
and women, just disrespected
We suffered
Thought we were living in the HOME OF THE BRAVES
but, we got treated like slaves
We overcame
We are doctors lawyers teachers and judges
We too are smart
We too can read
We too can write
We fought, we seeked, we moved,
WE OVERCAME
AND NOW
WE ARE AMERICA
