We

Because I love you

Is such an idle thing

I want to hold it dear to me

But say nothing

These words need actions

To mean anything

Throw away the ring

I don't want these binds

I don't want this feeling

Of suffocation

Or control

I want the loyalty

And the care

I want to miss you

Unless you're near

I don't want the judgement

That only tears me down

I don't want to be scared

I want to be breathless

And you to be the air

I want to feel supported

My wings, even when there is no air

An anchor when the waves drown me with fear

I don't want stupid fights

The differences that divide

I want acceptance

Every day and every night

Because the years will pass

And the words may stray from our lips

Forgotten like the little memories

We didn't quite know we made

I want you to feel all the things

And everything

That I said I wanted us to be

Because I love you

Even more with me

Because together we're not separate

But this single entity

Together, with you, is me

Together, with love, is we
