We Are Born Like This

We are born like this, and into this. Born into crazy, mad wars. Born into emptiness, selfishness, and greed. Broken windows, broken dreams, and broken hearts. Born into fights, bloody fists, and death. Into arguments that end with guns and knives, instead of finding peace. Born into a world where children starve while others surround themselves with fame. Where we talk about helping them, but we never do, because it takes work that we cannot spare for anyone but ourselves. Born into a place where we ask young solders to die for a fight that was never theirs. Where we tell ourselves that we are doing what is right, but fooling ourselves out of our own rights. Where jails are filled with souls that gave up on themselves, because living is cheaper in hell. When the cost is less to die then the cost to stay alive. Where no one ever even glances at the man on the street, who lost everything he had. We think that he is dirty and we are better than him. We are born into judgement, born into hate. Not caring at all for a stranger and turning away. We wish terrible fates on people we barely know because we simply cannot agree. A place where buildings tumble to sand, and we kill just for the thrill. No wonder humanity is close to an end. When we are born into a such terrible world.
