We Are Different

We have always been told to be ourselves,

To have our own opinions,

Raised to be different.

Once we step through those double doors,

We become one.

Not allowed to have our own thoughts.

Not allowed to have our own opinions.

We become a whole,

Not an individual.

If one does wrong,

The punishment is held over everyone.

They tell us to have a voice.

They tell us to stand up for what we believe in,

But only if our voice agrees with theirs.

Little do they know,

They are hurting the future generations.

Let us be who we are.

Let us be different.
