We Are The Disabled

We are misunderstood everyday, seen as people who don't understand others, when it is us that listen more than they do. It is us that see more than they do, it is us that can appreciate life more than they do. We stand proud and for those of us that can't, we raise our head up as high as we can. We are the disabled.
While others cry for a broken bone, we say at least you'll be able to use it again. While others complain of the T.V being to low or to loud, we say at least you can hear it and when they say I can't see her face, we say we never have and maybe never will. While kids complain of reading a simple book, we are wishing we could see the simple sentences. We are the disabled. While there are those that complain of not having that expensive ipod or cell phone we are saving every dollar we can to buy the necessities we need to get through the day.
