WE ARE GOING NO WHERE
"WE ARE GOING NO WHERE"
Poem by: Alick Mushekwa
We all claim to be heading somewhere,
But unfortunately we don't reach anywhere.
Peace and love we've preached on the way,
But people die everyday,
And nobody is concerned anyway.
We try to help, but evil minds block our way.
We need strength to penetrate like a ray,
So that we can find where to stay.
Leaders are ever at bay,
While followers remain with nothing to say.
Juveniles have lost the direction and gone astray.
No body is there to show them a way.
To some leaders filled with arrogance;
Here is your message to chase your ignorance.
We don't need great people to be successful,
But we need time and ourselves to be useful.
You may avoid helping us the youths,
But one day you shall still need us.
Don't forget that we are rich in our minds.
Never let your evil minds blindfold you by thinking we can never make it.
Remember life isn't all about living and dying,
But life is about leaving a world more safer than you found it.
Life isn't about bread and butter
But life changes with time. You may be useful today and tomorrow thrown away like a used voucher.
Being great is not an assurance of being a master.
You are just that great because you identified yourself
However, they are many self made Queens and kings
So never be greedy to keep everything to yourself.
