We Are The Human Race

I'm giving up hope on the human race.

Once and for all once and for all.

Nothing can convince me otherwise

I've given it chance after chance just to be hurt again

They say everyone has faults

No that's not true

Everyone is a fault

Now that is more accurate

All we do is yell and scream till we get our way

All we do is fight and kill and steal to get paid

All we do is hurt others to take our pain away

All we do is focus on ourselves

All we do is waste resources to pass the time by

All we do is treat others as objects in our little worlds

All we do is drink our lives away not thinking about the others it hurts

All we do is waste our lives away wasting all that we have been given

All we do is complain about how our lives suck, not caring about that kid that died on the street yesterday

All we do is seek pleasure in the vices of this world and shun our creator

All we do is let down those around us

All we do is ignore those walking by us on the side walk

All we do is live on day after day set in our ways

We can not take it back

We are the human race

Fucked up as can be

As we have been throughout history

Some say we are more humane today than in the past

But that head on a stick has just turned into that man we let starve in a poor country

We take and we take and we take from this world

Not giving back one bit

It gives us its oil, trees, air... all it has to give

We give it waste, litter, fuel emissions.... all we can give

Because we are the human race

Better than all the other living things out there

That is why we hunt the deer and mount their heads on the wall

Kill the spiders even if they are not in our way

Smear the beautiful fluid of the lightning bug onto the side walk

Capture the zebra, the lion, the lizard, and watch them waste their lives away in our splendid cages

Because we are the human race

But we are as inhumane as can be

Just as much now as throughout history

We keep evolving but will get nowhere

Till we blow each other up with our complex perfect bombs

Run out of oxygen because of our beautiful cars

Kill ourselves with our evolving smart technology

Because we are the human race

And we know everything right?

Perfect as can be.

Haha funny

What a joke

Humanity needs to change and be quick about it

It is almost to late to save this world

I can't give up no matter how bad I want to

There are some good people out there

I know there has to be

Lets raise our voices

Together we need to make a change

Before our perfect race drives itself extinct
