We Are Lost

We are lost in our own thoughts.

We tell ourselves we aren't good enough

We think we aren't worth the time of day

We don't know why we're here of why things happen.

We are lost in other people's words.

They say "you are ugly"

"you are worthless"

"you are stupid"

And we believe them.

We need to change how we see ourselves.

You are beautiful.

You are talented.

You are unique

One of a kind.

You are amazing and you cannot be replaced.

If we would all just realize

how vital we are to this world

We'd do more with ourselves.

We'd fix the broken hearts of those left behind

and mend the broken wings of those who can't fly!

We could do it, you and me.

We could change the world.
