We are no longer apart
We are no longer apart of the main island. Pangaea, split and drifted slowly from each other. Unfortunately, just like its most intelligent inhabitants. So much land, but so little love. Nothing is truly free on the mainland, not even yourself. You have to pay thousands just to think and find an occupation. We are supposed to share the love on this island. There isn’t much sharing here so I explored the ocean hoping to find my own land. My Eden. It’s such a beautiful sea…But some get lost, cast away like Wilson.
I’m no longer isolated. I’m stable, I have my own island that I can call my own. Without my family, every island I land on would be futile. I would have no one to share the love and joys of life with. My daughter is my true joy in life. I especially couldn’t live without seeing her soft, happy face. All my life that has been…has been me. We are social animals that truly need love not more islands further astray.
I once imagined myself a vagrant, floating upon the deep, blue sea. Ironically this deep blue planet itself is floating about this infinite celestial sea. I want to share that love with my family, which is not just limited to my wife and my daughter. We’re all family on this small blue island. I finally found my island. My conscience. My peace. Without my family, I have none of that. I have no purpose.
